It all started with three friends and a few shots of tequila with the idea to share bold, Border-style food with the world. So, in October of 1982, they opened the first On The Border at the corner of Knox and Travis in Dallas, Texas.
On The Border quickly became and remains today the hot spot for great margaritas, fresh-pressed tortillas, tableside guacamole, chips as big as your head, sizzling fajitas, Border-style food and good times. Today, OTB is in 26 states and internationally.

On The Border Franchise Process
We have an efficient approval process for potential Franchise Partners. It all begins with Pre-Qualification. We then gather all relevant information through the Request for Consideration form. We discuss regions of interest and even introduce you to the Executive Team here at our Restaurant Support Center. The final step in the Franchise Process includes submitting and approving all legal documentation required to establish the relationship.
Once agreements are reviewed, approved and closed, our Restaurant Support Center helps get your teams trained and ready for the Grand Opening.
